This page explains what data fael.my.id collects, what it’s used for, and what rights you have as a visitor. It’s written to be as plain as possible, since this site is run by one person, not a company, so there’s no legal team or layered corporate policy behind it.
Who runs this site
This site is run by an individual (Fael / Bhagaskara Rafael), not a company or business entity. If you have any privacy related questions, reach out through the Contact page on this site.
What data is collected
If you’re just browsing: This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like almost every hosting provider, Cloudflare automatically logs basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes. This data is processed by Cloudflare, not manually collected or stored by the site owner.
If you leave a comment: The comment system on this site (Waline) stores your name, email address, website (if you provide one), the comment content, and your IP address at the time of submission. This is stored in a database owned by this site itself, not a third party, physically hosted on a server in the Singapore region. Your email is never shown publicly, but is used to generate an avatar (via Gravatar) and optionally for reply notifications.
If you reach out by email or contact form: The message content and your email address will be read and kept for as long as needed to respond to or follow up on that message.
This site has no login or account system for general visitors, doesn’t sell anything, and doesn’t run third-party ads.
Cookies
This site uses cookies/local storage sparingly, mainly to remember preferences like language, theme (dark/light mode), or font size. These are functional in nature, not used to track you across other sites or build an advertising profile.
Third-party services used
This site runs on top of a few third-party services:
- Cloudflare for hosting, security, and content delivery
- Neon (PostgreSQL) for storing comment data
- Gravatar for generating avatars based on the email used when commenting
Each of these services has its own privacy policy covering data they process at their infrastructure level.
How long data is kept
Comments and related data are kept for as long as the comment remains visible on the site. You can request removal of your comment at any time through the Contact page.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of any data stored about you (usually just comments you’ve left)
- Request that data be deleted
- Reach out with any privacy concerns For any of the above, just get in touch through the Contact page.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change from time to time, usually as the site itself evolves. The “last updated” date above will always reflect the most current version.
